Job summary

Joyce/Dayton Corp. is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator II for first shift to safely manufacture parts meeting quality specs. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Production Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, set up CNC lathes, edit programs, and inspect parts during production while maintaining tool readiness and machine maintenance. Join a team-focused environment in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of proven CNC Lathe experience.
• Overhead crane experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and process sheets.
• Ability to read precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read CNC programs.
• Proven ability to train new operators.

Responsibilities

• Machine metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Inspect parts during production using precision measuring instruments.
• Set up and operate CNC machines using set-up sheets and written instructions.
• Edit pre-written programs with supervision when necessary.
• Observe CNC displays and verify dimensions against process sheets.
• Pre-set tools and fixtures and adjust speeds/feeds as needed.
• Crosstrain on other plant machinery as required.
• Maintain machine fluid levels and perform basic equipment maintenance.
