Job summary

The Gund Company in Cedar Lake, IN is hiring a Utility Operator II for the first shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F). The role involves operating and setting up various production machinery, performing manual assembly, and ensuring work orders meet specifications.

You will follow safety and quality standards; the position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $24 per hour plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus at 30 days, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with saws, shears or similar equipment.
• Strong basic math and ability to use measuring tools.
• Flexibility to work overtime and emergency production needs.
• Preferred: reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment such as shears, radial arm saws, and custom machinery.
• Perform manual assembly and fabrication tasks using hand tools and machines.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality, quantity, and customer standards.
• Assist with troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on production machinery as needed.
