Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual assembly and fabrication tasks using hand tools as required.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and customer standards.

Shift: First (7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F)

Hourly Wage: $24+ per hour based on experience

Bonus: $1,000 at 30 days of employment

Utility Operator Job Summary

As a Utility Operator II , you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. This includes operating and setting up various CNC and non-CNC production machinery, conducting manual assembly tasks, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Utility Operator II
  • Set up and operate production equipment such as shears, radial arm saws, and custom machinery.
  • Perform manual assembly and fabrication tasks using hand tools and machines, as necessary.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet company quality, quantity, and customer standards.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on production machinery as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with saws, shears, or similar equipment.
  • Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
Work Environment Utility Operator
  • This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to dust.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
