The candidate should be able to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and operate standard cleaning tools and equipment, including a backpack vacuum. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential to deliver quality service.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning responsibilities requires no previous experience.
• Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Uses a portable vacuum cleaner – backpack style.
• Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Operate floor buffers and shampoo machines with attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas and perform daily spot cleaning and rug shampoos.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces; perform periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills and interior/exterior glass as directed daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock supplies daily following standard procedures.
• Monitor defects such as clogged urinals and lights out; report to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily and arrange for removal; replace liners as needed.
• Sweep or shovel snow from entryways and walkways as directed.
• Perform periodic tasks like high dusting and leather/wood surface care.
