Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a 1st Shift Brazer in San Antonio to perform brazing, fit up and fabrication on a variety of metal assemblies. You will read blueprints and AutoCAD drawings, set up brazing equipment, and ensure joints meet specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a busy manufacturing environment. You will document tasks, maintain reports, follow policies, and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives while contributing to high-quality

Qualifications

• Must pass brazing tests on various metals including stainless steel, copper and brass.
• Experience using hand tools, machinery and equipment for metal fabrication.
• Ability to read production drawings, blueprints and AutoCAD files.
• Strong safety, quality orientation and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Apply fit up, fabricate and braze per Johnson Controls procedures.
• Position parts in jigs, clamp securely, and select appropriate brazing equipment.
• Set up regulators and braze torch; adjust flame and pressure for a strong joint.
• Inspect braze joints for leaks and perform necessary repairs.
• Read drawings, review specifications, and document work with accuracy.
• Maintain 5S and participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
