Job summary

MRP Solutions in Franklin Township, NJ, is seeking an Automation Technician for its plastic cap manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automation and lining systems to maximize uptime and product quality, working with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes ownership of equipment performance, robust repairs, and applying RCA to prevent recurrence, with a Monday–Friday first shift and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; technical training in industrial maintenance or automation preferred.
3–5 years of industrial maintenance or automated manufacturing experience.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in an automated setting.
Experience with Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Knowledge of safety standards and 5S/ TPM/ Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation equipment issues.
Lead or participate in RCA investigations to identify root causes of failures and downtime.
Develop and verify corrective actions to eliminate repeat failures.
Apply structured problem-solving methods (5 Whys, FMEA, etc.).
Support 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
