Job summary

MRP Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Set up Tech in Franklin Township, NJ. This full-time, first-shift role involves performing product changeovers, machine setups, and startup activities on lining and rotary assembly equipment in a plastic cap facility.

You will troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and help ensure quality for each production run. The position requires hands-on work, adherence to safety guidelines, and collaboration with production, maintenance, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience required; machine setup or changeover experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with lining machines, rotary assembly machines, packaging equipment, or similar automated machinery is a plus.
• Basic understanding of mechanical components, pneumatic systems, and sensors preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and perform minor repairs and light maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Changeovers: perform product changeovers and machine setups on lining and rotary assembly machines.
• Install and adjust tooling, guides, fixtures, and change parts for different configurations.
• Set and verify machine parameters, timing, alignment, and operating conditions.
• Complete changeovers efficiently while minimizing downtime and startup scrap.
• Verify machine operation and product quality before production release.
• Identify setup-related issues and adjust to maintain quality and output.
