Job summary

MRP Solutions is seeking an Automation Technician, Auxiliary Conveying Equipment, for the 1st shift at a plastic cap manufacturing facility in Franklin Township, NJ. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated production equipment including lining machines, conveyors, and vision inspection systems to maximize reliability and output.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or automation preferred.
• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance or automated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in an automated environment.
• Experience with RCA, structured problem-solving, and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
• Lead or participate in RCA investigations to identify underlying causes of failures and downtime.
• Develop, implement, and verify corrective actions to eliminate repeat failures.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods (5 Whys, cause-and-effect, failure trend analysis).
• Document failure causes, corrective actions, and results to prevent recurrence.
