Job summary

Universal Instruments, A Delta Group Company, is seeking a 1st shift assembler in a clean, climate-controlled environment. The role involves assembling basic parts and sub-assemblies, following procedures and process sheets, and working at a self-paced workstation in Rochester, NY.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma plus 3+ years of assembly experience, familiarity with blueprints, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relative experience.
• Experience with tools such as allen wrenches, ratchet wrenches, measuring tools, torque wrenches, scales, meters and gauges.
• Notable experience with technical drawings, blueprints, and/or schematics.
• Experience performing standard operating procedures.
• Technical aptitude for database navigation, information management and record keeping.
• Reads/writes and communicates effectively via email and documentation with colleagues.
• Dependable and possesses an excellent work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to procedures and documentation.
• Use hand tools including screwdrivers, torque drivers, and assembly aids.
• Possibly perform intermediate testing of sub-assemblies before final assembly.
• Suggest engineering or process changes as required.
• Assist in creating or revising the build process.
• May assist in leading daily team activities.
• Perform other duties as required.
