Job summary

Universal Instruments in Rochester, NY is seeking a Production Technician III to assemble and test machines and support production schedules. You will use prints, specs, diagrams, and SOPs to set up and operate equipment for manufacturing, processing, and assembly.

The role aims to build cross‑discipline knowledge including electrical, mechanical, and machine software skills. 1st Shift - Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm EST, full-time with robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma with 3–5 years of relative machine build assembly experience.
• An Associate's degree in a technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with SOPs, safety standards, and electro-mechanical print interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machines and subassemblies per prints and process sheets.
• Test and debug equipment to meet specifications using precision instruments.
• Monitor output and report inconsistencies or equipment issues.
• Maintain records of production and collaborate with engineers on new product introductions.
• Assist in field installation or demonstrations (<10%).
• Perform other related duties as required.
