Job summary

Universal Instruments is seeking a Production Technician I for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm EST) to assemble and test machines and meet production schedules. You will work from prints, process sheets, and SOPs, growing knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and machine software concepts.

Responsibilities include building machines, testing subassemblies, recording production data, and collaborating with engineers on new product introductions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Ability to understand SOPs and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret and execute builds with electro-mechanical prints.
• Effective written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Assembles machines and subassemblies according to prints, process sheets and documentation.
• Tests and debugs machines to meet specifications using precision instruments.
• Monitors output for quality and conformance to metrics.
• Prepares and maintains production records and reports issues.
• Collaborates with engineers on new product introductions.
• May assist in field installation or demonstrations (<10%).
• Performs other related duties as required.
