Job summary

Alex AI seeks its first dedicated Security & Trust Engineer to own information security, compliance, and AI governance. You will lead security reviews, run SOC 2 readiness, and shape how we address regulatory requirements across global markets.

Based in San Francisco, you’ll partner with CTO, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to build a scalable security program, engage enterprise customers, and define trust-first practices for AI hiring solutions.

Qualifications

• Own information security, compliance, and governance for AI products.
• Manage SOC 2 and other audits with auditors and stakeholders.
• Present security posture to CISOs and enterprise leadership.
• Coordinate across teams to align security with product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer security review end to end, including questionnaires and addenda.
• Automate questionnaire turnaround with a reusable evidence library and tooling.
• Lead AI risk/regulation tracking (EU AI Act, GDPR, state laws) and translate to actions.
• Represent Alex externally in security governance calls with prospects and customers.
• Run compliance programs and manage auditors, tests, and tooling.
• Collaborate with Engineering to embed controls and risk management.
• Shift left with Product & Engineering to address security early in design.
