We are seeking a First-Party Property Coverage Attorney to join our growing insurance coverage practice. What You'll Do
- Analyze first-party property claims and evaluate coverage issues under commercial and residential property policies.
- Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, denial letters, and other coverage-related communications.
- Advise insurers, policyholders, claims professionals, and business stakeholders on coverage strategy, exposure, and risk management.
- Handle coverage litigation, including declaratory judgment actions and related disputes in state and federal courts.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
- Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations, hearings, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Work closely with claims teams, adjusters, experts, and litigation counsel to develop effective legal strategies.
- Stay current on developments in insurance law and emerging first-party property coverage issues.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in good standing.
- 3+ years of experience in insurance coverage, insurance litigation, or related civil litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytic skills.
- Experience drafting legal briefs, motions, and client-facing written work product.
- Ability to manage multiple matters while providing exceptional client service.

- First-party property insurance coverage analysis.
- Coverage opinions and coverage counseling.
- Reservation of rights and denial letters.
- Declaratory judgment actions.
- Commercial property and homeowners' coverage disputes.
- Bad faith and extra-contractual exposure issues.
