Job summary

BPAS, a national retirement plan administration provider, seeks a Chief Control Officer to lead the first-line risk and control function across BPAS. You will own risk assessments, control inventories, and governance reporting, advising leadership on risk implications of new products and tech initiatives.

Lead a cross-functional team within BPAS, work with second-line risk/compliance partners, and oversee vendor risk, data privacy, and regulatory readiness. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years in risk management, controls, audit or compliance in financial services or regulated industry.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Relevant risk/compliance credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead first-line risk and control ownership across BPAS.
• Execute enterprise risk framework and manage operational, compliance, third-party, cyber risk.
• Prepare risk reporting for leadership and governance bodies; manage issue lifecycle.
• Foster risk culture and partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, and Exam teams.
• Oversee third-party and vendor risk management, due diligence, and controls.
• Ensure data privacy and technology risk controls for platforms supporting BPAS.
