Job summary

Mason County Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher for First Grade at Beale Elementary. The role focuses on delivering standards-based instruction, meeting learning objectives, and supporting diverse learners.

The teacher will employ collaborative planning, technology, and community engagement to foster student growth. Responsibilities include implementing curriculum, coordinating with special education staff, and contributing to school improvement efforts while maintaining strong communication

Qualifications

• Valid WV teaching certificate/licensure for elementary grades.
• Criminal background check conducted as required by WV law.
• Meet qualifications per WV Code §18A-3-2 and §18A-3-2a.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Mason County Schools’ standards-based curriculum per WV Content Standards and Objectives.
• Implement adopted and supplemental academic programs.
• Integrate 21st century technology skills into instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to support inclusivity.
• Plan and implement co-curricular activities and field trips when designated.
• Be accountable for individual student achievement.
• Design and deliver personalized learning for all students.
• Maintain strong communication with students, parents and peers.
• Support additional programs designated by the principal for school improvement.
• Perform supervisory or other duties as assigned by the principal.
