Job summary

TMSA Public Charter Schools is seeking a First Grade Teacher for the Charlotte area. The role reports to the Principal and supports students’ academic and social readiness through a standards-aligned curriculum.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and an active North Carolina teaching license (or in process). 195-day contract; salary ranges from mid-50s to low-70s with benefits and bonuses available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
• Current North Carolina teaching license, or in the process of obtaining
• Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans aligned to State Standards to support grade-level goals
• Establishes a safe, orderly environment and fosters a positive classroom culture
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Collaborates with colleagues to implement school improvement goals
• Regularly assess students using formative and summative measures
• Communicates with families to promote student success
