Job summary

Washington State University is hiring a First-Generation 4-Year College Transition Navigator in Vancouver, WA. The role centers on guiding high school seniors in the Horizons program toward four-year postsecondary paths and coordinating college transition initiatives.

You will work with TRiO Student Support Services to support a cohort of students, plan campus visits, and develop programs that address barriers faced by first-generation students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with two years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of professional work experience.
• Combination of education and experience may be substituted year-for-year for the educational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating specialized programs to help students transition to college life and access resources.
• Partner with PPAs to organize campus visits, events, and co-curricular programs to build community and provide resources.
• Equip potential and current students with tools and resources to navigate higher education entry and challenges to achieve goals.
• Directly support WSU Vancouver students during transition via programming and support in TRiO Student Support Services.
