Job summary

Venable LLP's Real Estate Finance Group is seeking a midlevel associate with a minimum of three years of law firm experience to join our practice in the Washington, D.C. or Baltimore office.

The associate will review, draft, and negotiate loan documents, conduct due diligence, manage title, leases, and related opinions, and close complex transactions while mentoring junior associates. The ideal candidate will have multifamily lenders and/or agency lending exposure, and must hold a JD with bar

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school and bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum three years of law firm experience in real estate finance.
• Experience with multifamily lenders and agency lending programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate loan documents, SNDAs, and subordination agreements.
• Analyze and manage legal due diligence, including ownership structures and organizational documents.
• Review title, survey, zoning, leases, and legal opinions.
• Close complex commercial real estate transactions from origination through funding.
• Train and supervise junior associates and paralegals.
