Venable LLP's Real Estate Finance Group is seeking a midlevel associate with a minimum of three years of law firm experience to join our practice in the Washington, D.C. or Baltimore office.

The associate will review, draft, and negotiate loan documents, perform due diligence, and manage complex transactions from origination through funding, often mentoring junior colleagues and leading deal teams. Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a law firm focusing on real estate finance.
• Ability to manage deal teams and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate loan documents, SNDAs, and subordination and standstill agreements.
• Analyze and manage legal due diligence, including complex real estate ownership structures.
• Review and evaluate title, survey, zoning, leases, and legal opinions; close complex transactions from origination to funding.
• Train and supervise junior associates and paralegals.
