Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital in Draper, Utah, is seeking a Surgical Tech First Assist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the OR. You will assist staff during operative procedures and ensure the OR is prepared for cases.

Responsibilities include prepping rooms, mentoring other techs, ensuring safety checks for patient identity and procedure, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for the team and patients.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 7 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of operating room work experience preferred.
• Completion of approved First Assist Program required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, patient centered care as you assist staff during procedures.
• Prepare the OR and act as a preceptor for other techs.
• Clean ORs and equipment with housekeeping and central processing between patients.
• Participate in safety initiatives for patient verification and procedure matching.
• Anticipate and meet the surgeon's needs using prior experience.
• Maintain a clean, well stocked, safe patient care environment.
