Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, Utah, seeks a Surgical First Assistant to support staff during operations and ensure OR readiness. You will act as a preceptor for other techs, count instruments with the circulating RN, and uphold safety and sterility standards throughout procedures.

The role requires CST and CSFA/NBSTSA certifications, BLS/ACLS, and ongoing education. You will join a team focused on compassionate patient care and high-quality surgical support.

Qualifications

• BLS/BCLS and ACLS certification required.
• Surgical Technologist CST and CSFA/NBSTSA certification required.
• Maintain required education and certification.
• Must have 2+ years with 200 verified surgeries in past 12 months or recent training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the operating room.
• Prepare OR and assist staff during operative procedures.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments with circulating RN; document actions.
• Maintain safe, clean, and well-stocked patient care environment.
