Job summary

Orthopedicsportsinstitute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a team-based orthopedic practice in Idaho. You will assist in the OR, manage clinic patients, and contribute to urgent care services.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, ordering imaging, and educating patients while maintaining thorough documentation and collaborating with physicians and rehab staff.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (or eligibility).
• Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented orthopedic practice.
• Previous orthopedic, sports medicine, emergency medicine, or surgical experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• First assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic injuries and conditions in the clinic.
• Provide patient care in our Orthopedic Urgent Care.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and other appropriate tests.
• Perform office-based procedures as appropriate.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, recovery, and preventative care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
