Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, seeks a Trauma Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join our multidisciplinary team. You will provide perioperative care and first-assist support in elective and emergent surgeries at our Level II Trauma Center.

Expect active collaboration with surgeons, residents, nursing staff, anesthesia, and other team members, plus participation in quality initiatives and adherence to clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' surgical experience.
• Ability to function as first or second assist.
• Strong teamwork with surgeons and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first or second assist on cases across multiple specialties.
• Perform intraoperative suturing, wound closure and tissue handling.
• Participate in rounds and document patient progress.
• Collaborate with surgeons, residents, and anesthesiologists.
• Support quality improvement and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and communication.
