Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Caldwell, ID is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Urgent Care team full-time. You will evaluate musculoskeletal injuries, perform procedures such as joint injections, splinting, casting, and develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the orthopedic sports medicine team.

The role requires Idaho license (NP/PA) with DEA, and prior urgent care or emergency experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Idaho NP or PA license; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Strong medical background with a desire to develop a practice within a growing multispecialty group.
• Ability to obtain Idaho medical licensure to maintain the system-wide internal program across communities served.
• Prior healthcare experience in an urgent care or emergency setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate musculoskeletal injuries and sport-related concussions presenting to the walk-in orthopedic urgent care.
• Provide direct patient management including exams, procedures (e.g., joint injections), splinting, casting, bracing, and comprehensive H&Ps.
• Coordinate referrals and manage both acute and chronic non-surgical conditions.
• Order, interpret and evaluate laboratory/diagnostic data; prescribe medications; develop comprehensive treatment plans.
