Job summary

Eaton's Energy Transition Team is seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern / Co-op based in Moon Township, PA. The role can be a rotational co‑op or Summer 2027 internship, with an hourly rate of $22.15-$27.69.

You will help design and develop connected home energy management and V2X power systems, working through the Pro-Launch process from initiation to manufacturing launch. You’ll participate in firmware development, testing, CI/CD, and collaboration with engineers across disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar from an accredited institution with graduation no later than August 2029
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or work authorization
• Relocation is not provided; must be within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and software for embedded systems/micro-controllers and integrate test tools
• Support firmware/software development using code repositories, reviews, build servers, agile and TDD
• Support HIL testing and automation with lab tools
• Contribute to CI/CD workflow through build automation
• Work with wireless tech including Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth
• Enhance existing products per Eaton’s strategic plans
• Collaborate with international project teams on new innovations
