Job summary

Eaton’s Energy Transition Team is seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern / Co-op in Moon Township, PA for a Summer 2027 assignment or rotational co-op. The role includes developing firmware for embedded systems and contributing to product launches under the Pro-Launch process.

You will work with a cross‑functional team including engineers across disciplines to advance power management solutions, V2X, HIL testing, and CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar with graduation no later than August 2029
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Relocation not provided; located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and software for embedded systems/micro-controllers and integrate test tools
• Support firmware/software development using code repositories, reviews, and CI
• Assist Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and automation
• Participate in CI/CD processes through build automation
• Work with wireless tech such as Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth
• Contribute to international project teams on research, design, and launch of innovations
