Job summary

Acuity Inc. in Atlanta, GA, launches the Specialist Firmware Engineering Leadership Program (July).

The two-year rotational experience develops high-potential early career talent through hands-on assignments across product, hardware, and software teams. Participants rotate every six months to build business acumen and technical proficiency, with mentorship from senior leaders and exposure to New Product Development, Sustaining/VAVE, and related areas.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering or Electrical is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and time‑management skills are required.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Intermediate general proficiency with AI tools is required.
• Availability to travel based on business needs (up to 20%) is required.
• Experience in basic principals of scripting and leveraging APIs
• Experience with basic control cabling, network configuration, and comfortable working with third party lighting hardware
• Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes is highly preferred.
• Team‑oriented with a drive to take the initiative is highly preferred.
• Less than two years of related work experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through New Product Development and Sustaining/VAVE as part of the program.
• Engage in specialized onboarding and mentorship with senior leaders.
• Explore areas such as Optical Engineering, Outsourced Product Development, Product Management and Project Management.
• Participate in technical and professional development activities.
