Job summary

Bluesight is seeking a firmware engineer to own and maintain firmware across our RFID reader fleet, spanning multiple languages and device frameworks. You will partner with a small, close-knit hardware and RFID software team within a hybrid role based in Austin, TX.

You’ll work roughly 75% in software (Python/Go) and 25% hardware, contributing to device-control platforms and live-field support documentation while collaborating with product and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware across RFID reader models: maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting.
• Produce and maintain support documentation for field use.
• Contribute to and review code across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Grow expertise in the RFID device-control platform and performance-sensitive scanning code.
