Job summary

Textron Systems seeks a current student for a 10-week internship in Hunt Valley, MD as a Firmware Engineer (Weapons). You will collaborate with engineers to write and debug firmware and to document design and test procedures. This role emphasizes hands-on firmware development, cross-functional teamwork, and participation in design reviews.

You must be pursuing or have completed a B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering and be a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week.
• Capable of working with a cross-functional team.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to write and debug firmware code.
• Prepare and maintain documentation detailing firmware design and tests.
• Work with hardware teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in design and code reviews to improve firmware quality.
• Gain hands-on experience in firmware development and testing environments.
