Job summary

Textron Systems at Hunt Valley, MD offers a 2027 Intern - Manufacturing Engineer (Electronic Systems) role. You will assist Manufacturing Engineers on tasks of basic complexity, and may guide technicians while applying standard engineering methods in day-to-day tasks.

We provide a paid, 10-week summer internship with mentorship, hands-on projects, and growth opportunities. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required for this position.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Self-starter with ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline driven environment.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office suite experience.
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in completing tasks with a basic degree of complexity.
• This position may be responsible for providing guidance to technicians.
• Perform assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standards techniques, procedure, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks
