Job summary

Sunday Robotics is seeking a Firmware Engineer to own end-to-end firmware for our home robot and wearable. You will work with hardware bring-up, embedded Linux, and cross-functional teams across EE, mechanical, software, controls, and ML to deliver robust firmware solutions.

This role requires 3+ years in real-time embedded software with C/C++/Rust, experience with RTOS, and the ability to read schematics. You will contribute to architecture, diagnostics, and OTA pipelines in a fast-paced

Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of real-time embedded software development.
Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust.
Experience with debugging, instrumentation, and performance optimization.
Ability to read and understand board schematics and layouts.

Responsibilities

Own firmware end-to-end across wearable and robot, from architecture and implementation through integration and production.
Write high-performance host-side systems software serving as the interface layer between firmware and higher-level software.
Develop robust communications, OTA, and diagnostics infrastructure for embedded devices.
Work with the EE team to design and bring up new hardware.
Solve difficult cross-functional problems spanning hardware, firmware, embedded Linux, and higher-level software.
