Sunday Robotics in Redwood City is shaping the future of home robotics with platform software for embedded Linux compute units. You will collaborate across electrical, mechanical, software, and ML teams to integrate our robotics stack on new compute platforms.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will own bootloader, kernel drivers, BSP layers, and OTA end-to-end solutions, while driving bring-up on modern SoCs such as NVIDIA Jetson and Snapdragon.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded Linux / systems software development.
• Experience with modern SoCs bring-up (NVIDIA Jetson, Qualcomm Snapdragon).
• Proficient in C and ideally C++ and/or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Own the embedded software stack (bootloader, kernel, devicetree, BSP, drivers).
• Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers and userspace integration for sensors, cameras, storage, PCIe/USB/MIPI/Ethernet.
• Own build system and BSP layers using Yocto/Buildroot or vendor SDKs like JetPack.
• Collaborate with EE team to debug bring-up on custom carrier boards.
• Collaborate with software/ML teams to optimize performance across the stack.
• Design and implement OTA end-to-end using RAUC, Mender, SWUpdate, or equivalent.
