Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Firmware Engineering Co‑Op in Huntsville, AL, to join a collaborative team designing, developing, integrating, and testing firmware for embedded systems. This full-coop role provides hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

You will design and test firmware applications, develop firmware test suites, collaborate with engineers to support test infrastructure, and assist with bring-up and system-level

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum GPA 3.1; transcripts required during review.
• Knowledge of VHDL or Verilog HDL.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Design, implement, and test Firmware based applications
• Develop and maintain firmware test suites to verify system capabilities and requirements
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance and support test infrastructure
