Job summary

Mercury Systems, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to join our hardware team. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full hardware lifecycle while contributing to ruggedized systems used in aerospace, defense, and intelligence applications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.1; transcripts may be requested.
• Fundamental knowledge of high-speed digital/analog circuits, power management, EMI.
• Experience with Allegro Design Entry HDL or Mentor Graphics schematic tools.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and hardware development.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, soldering tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient with documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, testing, and validation of electrical hardware.
• Contribute to schematic design, layout, verification, integration, and optimization.
• Design and test complex circuits using Allegro or Mentor tools.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Software, and Procurement.
• Support design-for-manufacturing (DFM), design-for-assembly (DFA), and design-for-test (DFT).
• Assist lab activities including board bring-up, debugging, validation testing, environmental testing (EMC, thermal, power, ESS).
• Support production by investigating manufacturing issues and field failures.
• Draft test plans, reports, ECRs, and technical documentation.
• Assist with the design of fixtures to support advanced manufacturing techniques and BOM management.
