Job summary

EY is seeking a Firewall Operations Solution Architect/Network Sensing Analyst to deploy, configure, and manage firewall and network sensing solutions across client environments. You will provide operational coverage, assist with change requests, monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents to uphold network integrity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture, support audits, and stay current with threats and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in network security operations with firewall focus.
• Hands-on experience with firewall products required.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices.
• Familiarity with Checkpoint, Tufin, Splunk, and Netography is advantageous.
• ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to establish effective security controls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance requirements.
• Provide support for security audits and assessments, promoting adherence to security standards and policies.
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies to enhance security posture.
• Assist in developing security awareness training for staff regarding firewall operations.
• Mentor junior analysts in firewall management and incident response processes.
