Job summary

EY is seeking a Firewall Operations Solution Architect/Network Sensing Analyst to deploy, configure, and manage firewall and network sensing solutions across client environments. You will monitor security events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold strong network security.

You will participate in root-cause analyses, tune firewall policies, and support audits while staying current with evolving threats and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in network security operations with a focus on firewall management.
• Hands-on experience with firewall products such as Check Point.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to establish effective security controls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance requirements.
• Provide support for security audits and assessments, promoting adherence to security standards and policies.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training for staff regarding firewall operations and network security best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on firewall management and incident response processes.
