Job summary

Goel-Services, Inc. in the Washington DC region seeks an experienced Commercial Firestopping Estimator/Manager to lead estimates and sales for the Firestop Division.

You will analyze labor, materials and timelines, plan budgets, oversee project aspects, train staff, and drive performance to keep projects on budget and on schedule. OSHA certification and 3+ years experience required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience; 5 years total construction experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Skilled knowledge of estimating techniques, software and databases
  • Strong understanding of the bidding process
  • Ability to visualize building techniques and manage projects

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all sales of the Firestop Division and build customer relations
  • Estimate all Firestop projects and compute costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements
  • Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of projects including labor
  • Assist in managing operational capabilities of the division and training staff
  • Oversee the Company's Safety program and monitor productivity to keep projects on schedule

Commercial Firestopping Estimator
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Firestop Estimator/Manager for the Washington DC Region.

  • Assist in all sales of the Firestop Division, build customer relations.
  • Estimate all Firestop projects
  • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of projects including labor
  • Assist in the management of the operational capabilities of the division.
  • Assist in training of the staff.
  • Monitor productivity and provide solutions to the problems that arise with the labor pool, including write ups and other documentation of performance, both positive and negative.
  • Drive performance so that each project is completed under budget and on schedule
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience, 5 years total construction experience preferred
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Must have skilled knowledge of estimating techniques, software and databases
  • Sharp understanding of bidding process
  • Ability to visualize various building techniques

Qualifications
