Connecticut Appliance & Fireplace Distributors (CAFD) is seeking a skilled Fireplace Service Technician to service, troubleshoot, maintain, and install gas, wood, and electric fireplace products in residential settings throughout Connecticut.

This hands-on field position requires independent work, strong customer service, and adherence to state and local regulations. Training opportunities and a clear path for career growth exist within our Hearth division.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience using hand tools in residential service environments.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials.
• Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, crawl spaces, and in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for fireplace installations or service calls as scheduled.
• Diagnose and repair gas, wood, and electric hearth products.
• Install and set up hearth product orders per sales orders.
• Perform maintenance on company contracts, including gas service.
