Job summary

Carolina Hearth & Patio, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fireplace Installation & Service Technician to help homeowners enjoy safe, reliable hearth spaces.

The role involves installing, servicing, and repairing fireplaces, gas logs, wood stoves, and related products while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work with veteran technicians, learning and applying best practices in hands-on projects and on-site problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years prior experience in gas line installation, plumbing, HVAC, or a related trade.
• Knowledge of gas systems, venting, and fireplace installation techniques.
• Familiarity with local building codes and gas safety regulations.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on job sites.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Gas certification or relevant trade license preferred.
• Electrical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install gas lines, fireplaces, and related hearth products in residential and commercial settings.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on existing gas fireplace systems.
• Ensure all installations meet local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
• Connect and test gas supply lines, valves, and fittings for proper operation.
• Communicate with customers to explain installation processes and address concerns.
• Coordinate with other trades and team members on job sites as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working order.
