Job summary

Dean's Stove & Spa in Connecticut is seeking a Full-Time Service & Repair Technician to service, maintain, and repair wood, gas, and pellet stoves, fireplaces, and hot tubs in residential and commercial settings. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to work orders with professionalism.

The role emphasizes strong communication, safe work practices, and building lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude (we’ll train the right candidate!).
• Light plumbing and/or electrical experience (highly preferred).
• Hot tub or hearth experience (a plus).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be 18+ with a valid CT driver’s license.
• Familiarity with tools (own tools are a bonus).
• A positive attitude and desire to help customers.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair wood, gas, and pellet stoves, fireplaces, and hot tubs (residential & commercial).
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Respond to work orders professionally and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders and daily service reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and management.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships.
• Address customer concerns and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Educate customers on proper use and maintenance of their systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work vehicle.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
