Job summary

Newtown Fireplace Shop is seeking a skilled Fireplace Service Technician to join our team in Newtown, PA. You will be the expert customers rely on to keep their fireplaces safe, efficient, and beautiful through hands-on service.

You will inspect, maintain, and repair gas, wood-burning, and electric systems, diagnose issues, install components, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A valid driver's license and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in fireplace service or related trade is preferred.
• Knowledge of gas, wood-burning, and/or electric fireplace systems.
• NFI certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on gas, wood-burning, and electric fireplace systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fireplace and chimney issues to ensure safe operation.
• Install fireplace inserts, gas logs, and related components per manufacturer specs.
• Conduct chimney cleaning, venting inspections, and flue assessments.
• Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders timely.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
