The State of South Carolina’s McCrady Fire Department seeks a Firefighter II to respond to emergencies on a military installation, provide initial medical assistance, and operate firefighting apparatus. You will work under regular supervision with a 24-hour standby and participate in training and evaluations.

You must meet NFPA-1582 standards, hold SC driver’s license, and maintain SCBA proficiency. The role includes state benefits and a shift pattern that supports 24/7 coverage.

Formación

• High school diploma and Firefighter II (IFSAC/ProBoard) certification.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license and be able to obtain a federal license if required.
• Must meet NFPA-1582 physical standards with ability to wear SCBA.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to fire emergencies, rescues, hazmat and medical calls on a military installation.
• Perform 24-hour standby for fire suppression and rescue operations.
• Operate fire apparatus and related equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Participate in training and evaluation exercises; provide medical assistance at EMR level.
• Assume command if Senior Fire Officer is absent; perform duties as assigned.
