Paramedic Services of Illinois is hiring Paramedics to respond to emergencies and deliver high-quality medical care. You will assess patients, administer treatment per protocols, and document care while maintaining safety and professional standards.

The role requires a state paramedic license, IL licensure, ACLS/PALS/PEPP and ongoing continuing education, with strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current/valid Illinois driver's license.
• Paramedic program completion and Illinois Department of Public Health license.
• Willingness to complete continuing education and testing.
• State firefighter certifications (for firefighter applicants).
• Background check clearance and pre-employment testing (Fit for Duty, drug screen, agility, lifting).
• ACLS, PALS/PEPP, PHTLS/BTLS/ITLS, CPR Instructor credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide essential medical care to patients.
• Administer treatments per established protocols and guidelines.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in ambulances and other locations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate transport records and equipment documentation.
• Comply with continuing education and licensure requirements.
