Job summary

Quapaw Tribe seeks a PRN Firefighter/Paramedic to perform firefighting, emergency medical aid, and community safety outreach at Stations 1, 2, and 3. The role requires driving fire apparatus, using pumps, laying hose, and extinguishing fires, along with responding to alarms and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities include training in firefighting, EMS, hazmat, and related topics, presenting safety programs, and assisting in emergency preparedness planning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of driver safety and first aid.
• Ability to learn fire suppression and emergency equipment.
• Ability to perform strenuous activities in extreme conditions.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform firefighting duties including operating pumps and extinguishment tasks.
• Provide emergency medical aid and assist as paramedic.
• Respond to fire calls and manage communications equipment.
• Inspect buildings, hydrants, and fire prevention measures.
• Maintain and repair fire equipment and facilities.
• Present safety programs to community on fire prevention.
