Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a Paramedic to provide prehospital life support, evaluate patients, and stabilize at EMS scenes. You will drive Mobile Intensive Care Units, coordinate with agencies, and perform advanced life support procedures.

This role requires rapid decision making, adherence to protocols, and ongoing training. The position involves on-call shifts, full participation in disaster readiness, and maintaining ambulance readiness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of prehospital emergency medical care and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with advanced and basic life support techniques and drug administration.
• Ability to drive emergency vehicles and maintain ambulance equipment.
• Understanding of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training.

Responsibilities

• Render prehospital emergency medical care per protocols.
• Drive Mobile Intensive Care Units to scenes and transport patients.
• Coordinate with other emergency services at the scene.
• Perform ALS/BLS procedures and assist with training public on CPR/first aid.
• Maintain and operate ambulance and equipment; handle radio communications.
