Job summary

eddy is seeking a Firefighter/EMT-Basic who will be a sworn firefighter assigned to a station. The role includes completing the NFPA 1583 physical annually and maintaining fitness assessments, training during shifts, responding to emergencies, and operating a variety of firefighting apparatus as required.

Public relations duties or other tasks may be assigned by the Fire Chief or designee. The position follows a 48 hour on duty / 96 hour off duty schedule and may require irregular hours, travel

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies as part of the firefighting team.
• Perform apparatus and facility checks and ensure equipment is stocked and maintained.
• Drive/operate firefighting apparatus as assigned during shifts.
• Continue training on shift and perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Assist with public relations and other tasks as directed by the Fire Chief or designee.
