Job summary

Eddy County, New Mexico is seeking a sworn Firefighter/EMT-Certified. Starting pay is $23.75–$26.21 per hour.

The Firefighter/EMT-Basic must pass NFPA 1583 physical annually and will be assigned to a shift and station, responding to emergencies and performing apparatus and facility checks. During shifts, the Firefighter/EMT-Basic will operate firefighting apparatus as the driver and assist with public relations and other duties as assigned by the Fire Chief or designee.

Qualifications

• NFPA 1583 physical requirement.
• Ability to perform daily firefighting duties.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies as a sworn Firefighter/EMT-Basic.
• Drive operator duties and operate a variety of firefighting apparatus.
• Perform apparatus and facility checks and keep equipment stocked.
• Assist with public relations and other tasks as assigned by the Fire Chief.
