Job summary

The City of Richland Hills invites applications for a full-time firefighter position. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus firefighting and EMS experience. A valid Texas class B exempt or higher driver’s license and multiple TCFP certifications are required or obtainable within a year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of firefighting experience.
• Four years of emergency medical (EMS) experience.
• Texas class “B” exempt or higher driver’s license.
• Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Intermediate Firefighter certification or equivalent.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Licensed Paramedic Certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
• Hazardous Materials Technician Certification (TCFP) or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Driver/Operator Certification (TCFP).
• Instructor I Certification (TCFP).
• Fire Officer I Certification (TCFP).
