Job summary

Gfoat seeks a dedicated firefighter/EMT to operate in a high‑demand urban/rural environment. You will respond to emergencies, perform EMS care, conduct rescues and manage fire suppression alongside a team.

Position requires Texas‑certified EMT-B or higher and firefighter certification, plus a valid Class B license. Expect rigorous training, shift work, and strong emphasis on safety and readiness.

Qualifications

• Certification as Emergency Medical Technician – Basic or Intermediate.
• Certification as Basic Firefighter or higher (Texas).
• TX Class B Driver License or higher.
• ITLS or PHTLS Certification (or department equivalent).
• All listed certifications/licenses must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, drive fire apparatus and provide rescue, EMS and fire suppression services.
• Drive, operate, inspect, repair and maintain fire department apparatus and equipment.
• Perform rescues and provide emergency medical services as required.
• Respond to fire alarms, support firefighting operations and hydrant/hose operations at incidents.
• Maintain certifications and participate in training for department personnel.
• Clean and restock vehicles, perform inventories and station duties to keep readiness.
