Job summary

Comanche Nation Fire Department seeks a Structural Firefighter to protect life, property, and infrastructure. Under Fire Chief guidance, you will perform fire suppression, EMS, and emergency management tasks with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Requirements include Structural Firefighter I, NWCG S-130/190, EMT/Paramedic level EMS, and TIM awareness. The role requires 48/96 shifts, physical fitness, and service to tribal communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Satisfactory background screening; ability to work 48/96 shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to structural, grass and wildland fires and medical emergencies.
• Deploy hose lines, establish water supplies, and support fire suppression operations.
• Provide EMS support including CPR/AED and patient care per protocols.
• Assist with emergency management tasks such as storm cleanup and disaster response.
• Maintain apparatus, PPE, tools and radios; ensure station readiness.
• Adhere to safety, accountability, and incident command procedures; report injuries and hazards.
• Participate in drills, community events, and mutual aid activities.
